TEA INDIA ® - PERFECT TASTE, PERFECT FLAVOR

Discovered in China, close to 5000 years ago, tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world after water. It is truly a global beverage and is consumed in every corner of the world. All tea comes from the Camellia Sinensis or Camellia Assamica plant. From this plant - black, green or oolong teas are produced. Black tea, is by far the most popular tea. The largest producer and consumer of black teas in the world is India. Widely consumed in the Indian sub continent from the turn of the 20th century, tea is an 'essential commodity' for most people living in this part of the world!

Being predominantly an iced tea drinking country, good hot teas were not easily available in the United States. The developers of Tea India®, in the early 1980's saw this need and rushed to fill it.
For close to 20 years, Tea India® has remained the favorite tea of patrons from the Indian sub-continent. Developed in the early 1980's, when there was a limited supply of good teas, Tea India® has emerged as a leading brand of tea. In developing this tea, the foremost objective was to provide a quality product, and fill a need in the South Asian community. Created by tea experts, teas for Tea India® are sourced from prime plantations in Assam, India.
